Position Objective
As the cornerstone of our Culture pillar, you will drive brand prestige and revenue by securing private funding, managing high-level corporate relationships, and executing marketing operations for our flagship cultural festivals, including the Hong Kong French Film Festival (HKFFF), French May Arts Festival, and Make Music (Fête de la Musique).
This is a proactive, 100% onsite role for a self-starter who bridges the gap between our cultural identity and corporate sponsors.
Key Responsibilities
1. Events, PR & Operations
● Coordinate with internal teams and external PR agencies to handle press conferences, press releases, media hosting, and local journalist
relationships.
● Organize VIP event logistics, including cocktails, opening nights, post-screening talks, and meet-and-greets.
● Maintain clear project visibility, self-manage deadlines, and train/supervise onsite support staff or interns.
2. 360° Media, Budgeting & Strategy
● Manage the global communication, advertising, and promotional budget with strict tracking of event expenses and invoicing.
● Negotiate high-impact Media Partnerships, including MTR, JCDecaux (OOH), and press barters.
● Execute digital ad spends and deliver comprehensive ROI analyses to management.
3. Creative Content, Website & Video Production
● Lead the conceptualization and launch of major creative festival assets (catalogs, signage, transit ads) and manage local print vendors.
● Website Management: Own the setup, content updates, and ticketing engine integration on our website and marketing platform
● Video & Trailer Production: Direct the visual storytelling strategy (including social Reels/photos). Lead the creation of official
festival trailers, either by briefing and managing external creative agencies or executing rapid mobile video edits internally.
4. Sponsorship Acquisition & Account Management
● Identify, pitch, and secure private funding and corporate partnerships with new and existing companies
● Design bespoke Sponsorship Pitch Decks and End-of-Festival Impact Reports that demonstrate visual prestige and brand value.
● Act as the primary onsite liaison officer for corporate partners, flawlessly executing fulfillment, brand placements, VIP invitations,
and opening night hosting.
Requirements & Qualifications
● Experience: 3–5 years of proven experience in Event Marketing, PR, festival, Agency workflows, or Cultural Sponsorship
management.
● Education & Toolkit: Proficiency in Canva, MS Office, and presentation design is essential. Working knowledge of
Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign) and mobile editing tools is preferred. Experience with CMS/Website management and ticketing
platforms is a distinct advantage.
● Languages: Excellent command of English and native-level Cantonese (essential for local vendor negotiations, media
hosting, and coordination). Professional fluency in Mandarin and French is a major advantage.
● Cultural Fluency: A genuine, demonstrable passion for arts, culture, cinema, and music.
● Traits: A proactive problem-solver with meticulous attention to detail, capable of handling both strategic corporate
pitching and the physical, fast-paced demands of onsite event setup.
