Live drawing demonstration by French Comics Artists

Two French comics artists will perform live drawing demonstration at the Alliance Francaise Jordan Centre on 16 August.

Stéphane Levallois is a comics artist, cross media artist, concept artist and story boarder of Hollywood movies, art toy designer, short film director and commercial designer for international brands. He has done a variety of designs and visual conception works for many Hollywood movies, some of the most well-known titles including: Harry Potter 7, Harry Potter 8 and Pirates of Caribbean.

Claire Malary is graphic designer and a chef for Alain Passard and Pierre Gagnaire. She came back to her original language – drawing and painting through working as an illustrator. In October 2018, Claire’s first graphic novel, Hallali was published by Éditions de l’Œuf. The work was awarded the Grand Prize of Prix Arte misia in January 2019.

If you want to have a glimpse of the two artists at work, have an idea of what inspirations they got and how do they present their works, or feeling their brushstrokes, observing their sketching as well as colouring skills, just come and “draw the drama out” with us!
