As part of the programme of the Hong Kong French Film Festival 2023, we are
going to present the screening of a documentary "Vivants" (Living
Legacy).

Synopsis
At the end of summer, Dr.
Grange will celebrate his 3rd retirement farewell party. He struggles to leave the palliative care unit that he founded 25 years ago in a
small countryside hospital. The driving force behind this commitment was a personal tragedy. The last few weeks with Dr. Grange and his
patients – Cynthia, Didier, Jacqueline – raises profound questions about our ties to family and life.
夏末，這將是第三次為格蘭殊醫生舉辦的退休歡送會。25年前他在這鄉間醫院創辦了舒緩治療科，面對即將退休要離開這裡，他實在感到不捨。一直驅使他委身於這工作的動力背後是一段悲傷的個人經歷。格蘭殊醫生與他的幾名病人：辛西亞、迪迪埃與積琪蓮在他退休前幾個星期的相處啟發我們對生命以及與家人的關係作出深刻的思考。
