Meet Sue-Ying Koang, Baroque violin player
This October, the Hong Kong Early Music Festival organised by Concerto da Camera offers a musical voyage from Venice to Hamburg, exploring cultural exchange through Baroque compositions.
Experience four concerts: "Venice," showcasing Venetian-inspired music, and "Hamburg," highlighting Hamburg's influence.

Koang 江瑞瑩 Baroque violin 巴羅克小提琴
Sue-Ying Koang received critical acclaim for her world premiere solo album Johan Helmich Roman: A Violino Solo (Indésens Calliope, 2024). Formerly Principal Violinist of the Liège Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and teaching assistant at the Liège Royal Conservatoire until 2011, she now dedicates herself to historically informed performance practice.
She has performed with prestigious ensembles such as Les Arts Florissants, Pygmalion, and La Fenice. Koang currently teaches historically informed performance at HEMU in Switzerland and gives masterclasses in various conservatoires. She received her training at the CNSM in Lyon, the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin, the Longy School of Music in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and at the Haute École de Musique in Geneva.
