Sum Siccus

“Sum siccus", the Latin name for a mischievous "I'm thirsty", is singer Denis Alber's odyssey into the world of wine. Echoing the sunny Swiss climate, he delivers melodies of 19th-century poems by Baudelaire and Verlaine. With the electro-trumpet of virtuoso musician Yannick Barman, they explore the drunken nuances of joy, melancholy and madness that wine inspires with a fusion of voice, saturated guitar and brass. Sum Siccus is a Swiss duo renowned for their captivating fusion of indie rock and folk music, with a strong Francophone influence.

Their music is characterized by poetic lyrics and rich melodies that reflect both their Swiss roots and their cultural diversity. Singing mainly in French, Sum Siccus establish a deep emotional connection with their audience, tackling universal themes such as love, identity and the human experience. Their sound is a fusion of acoustic and electronic elements, creating a spellbinding atmosphere.
