To celebrate the 24th Animation Film Festival, the Consulate General of France and the Alliance Française are offering children (and
adults alike) an afternoon of animated short films. The program will feature screenings of the following 8 films, all sawarded at the
biggest animation festivals in Europe.
• Luisa and the feathered snake, Hefang Wei - 27 min. In
French, subtitles in English.
9 year-old Luisa just moved to Mexico with her family. It is not easy for her to adapt to this new environment, as she
shares to Keza, her beloved pet-lizard. When Keza escapes, he will drag Louisa into amazing adventures where she will discover Mexico's
culture and inhabitants. One encountering after the other, Louisa will find out that Keza might be a reincarnation of the divinity
Quetzalcoatl!
• A Tiny Voyage, Emily Worms - 7 min. In French,
subtitles in English.
John sees an extraordinary sight: Titi his parakeet opening the door to own his cage, all by himself! Yet the bird doesn’t
fly away. While John tries to understand why, he is swept away into a magical world where Titi can reveal his weaknesses and fears, and
John can help him overcome them. As they travel together across breathtaking landscapes, their friendship grows, and they learn that saying
goodbye is not a final farewell.
• Slipping away, Gabriel Hénot-Lefèvre - 13 min. Silent

In a sanatorium by the sea, an old man finds his life transfigured by the arrival of a seagull, that he delicately tames.
When the seagull gets wounded, the man takes care of her, and for a brief moment, he returns to boyhood again.
• Baking with Boris, Maša Avramović - 8
min. Silent movie.
Every morning, Boris the village baker makes a fresh batch of crusty bread and pastries for all his neighbours until… Achoo!
He can’t stop sneezing. He has become allergic to flour. How will he manage to keep baking for everyone in the village?
• Please don’t touch, Capucine Gougelet - 9 min 15. In Frenc, no subtitles.
Museum rules are simple: don’t run, don’t touch, don’t shout and never disobey.
• Bear Hug, Margrethe Danielsen - 10 min 33. Silent movie.
An eager little bear is waiting for his birthday guests to arrive. Slowly he realizes that he has been rejected. But the determination to
celebrate his birthday is still strong, and, free as a bird, his hunt for company begins.
• Once upon a time in Dragonville, Marika Herz - 9
min 15. Silent movie.
Samson, a dragon bullied by the other inhabitants of Dragonville, is forced to enter Humanville. There he meets Simon, a
little boy who helps him to face all the difficulties. Samson discovers a new world and, above all, a taste of friendship.
