French Actresses : Fashion Muses

L'exposition photographique de Luc Roux met à l'honneur des actrices françaises iconiques qui, en plus de leurs carrières cinématographiques, ont séduit les designers, couturiers, et dirigeants de grandes maisons de luxes. Retrouvez-les sur d'autres photographies prises en studio ou sur des plateaux de tournage sous l'oeil de Luc Roux : "Cinematic Pulse, Luc Roux : le cinéma au coeur" est ouverte du 22 novembre au 3 décembre à Soho House Sheung Wan.

EN : Luc Roux's photography exhibition celebrates iconic French actresses who, in addition to their cinematic careers, have captivated designers, couturiers, and leaders of renowned luxury houses. Explore more photographs of these actresses in studios or on film sets: "Cinematic Pulse, Luc Roux: Cinema at the Heart" is open from November 22nd to December 3rd at Soho House Sheung Wan.

DIOR et L'OREAL
FR : Les photos d'Isabelle Adjani prises par Luc Roux sont centrées sur le tournage de la Reine Margot, (1994) film réalisé par Patrice Chéreau, dont Luc Roux a réalisé l'affiche. Isabelle Adjani, a été longtemps l'égérie de Dior, ayant été la marraine des parfums Poison et Dune. Amie du couturier italien, Gianfranco Ferré, elle a participé à plusieurs défilés de la maison de mode.

EN : The photographs of Isabelle Adjani taken by Luc Roux focus on the filming of "La Reine Margot" (1994), a movie directed by Patrice Chéreau, for which Luc Roux created the poster. Isabelle Adjani has long been an icon for Dior, serving as the face of the Poison and Dune perfumes. Being close friends with the Italian fashion designer Gianfranco Ferré, she participated in several fashion shows for the fashion house.

YVES SAINT LAURENT
FR : Catherine Deneuve était une amie proche d'Yves Saint-Laurent. Le couturier, depuis le début de sa carrière, a suivi et habillé l'actrice pour ses robes de tournage ou pour des événements exceptionnels. L'actrice était présente à tous les défilés. La photographie qui sert d'affiche à l'exposition de Luc Roux, était parmi les préférées d'Yves Saint-Laurent qui l'avait découpée du magazine Studio et l'avait épinglée au mur de son bureau.
EN : Catherine Deneuve was a close friend of Yves Saint Laurent. The designer, since the early stages of his career, followed and dressed the actress for her film costumes or special events. The actress was present at all the fashion shows. The photograph used as the poster for Luc Roux's exhibition was among Yves Saint Laurent's favorites; he had cut it out from Studio magazine and pinned it to the wall of his office.

FR : Monica Belluci, l'actrice italienne, est l'égérie de plusieurs grandes marques de luxe française ou italienne : ici, Dior et Dolce&Gabana. La photographie de Luc Roux date de 1996 lorsqu'elle commence sa carrière française.

DIOR et CHANEL
FR : Marion Cotillard a représenté les marques Dior et surtout, depuis 2020, elle est le nouveau visage de l'emblématique parfum de la maison Chanel : Chanel numéro 5. C'est une très jeune Marion Cotillard que Luc Roux prend en photo en 2001 avec un jeune acteur qui n'est pas encore son mari : Guillaume Canet.
EN : Marion Cotillard has been the face of Dior and, notably since 2020, she has become the new face of the iconic perfume from the Chanel house: Chanel No. 5. It was a much younger Marion Cotillard whom Luc Roux photographed in 2001 alongside a young actor who was not yet her husband: Guillaume Canet.

FR : Isabelle Huppert multiplie les coups d'éclat mode signés Balenciaga depuis 2021. Elle est désormais l'ambassadrice officielle de la maison, dont la direction artistique est menée par Demna Gvasalia. Chez Luc Roux, vous la découvrez en tournage avec l'un des réalisateurs qui a marqué sa carrière : Claude Chabrol.

FR : Sophie Marceau a représenté les parfums Guerlain dans cette campagne des années 90 pour le parfum Champs-Elysée. En 1999, Luc Roux la prend en photo à Londres où elle tourne un James Bond joué par Pierce Brosnan.

FR : Chiara Mastroianni représente ici le parfum L'acquarossa, de la maison Fendi. Chez Luc Roux, c'est une photo de 1996 avec Guillaume Depardieu qui sera publié en 1996 dans Studio magazine.

The 54th edition of Hong Kong French Film Festival is finally here! From November 19 to December 11, you can enjoy a large selection of 50 films in cinema! This year’s selection is a mix between a large 2025-film selection – with films only recently or not even released yet in France - and retrospectives on Gérard Jugnot, our godfather for this edition, and on 130 years of cinema.
