Tournoi de Football Francophone

Sunday, 17 March
Junior / Teens / Adults
Free - RSVP necessary

A French-speaking Football Competition, organized by the Consulate General of France in Hong Kong and Macau, the PSG Academy and the Alliance Française will take place on Sunday March 17, 2024, from 9:00 to 18:00 on the grounds of the Christian Alliance International School (33 King Lam Street, Lai Chi Kok, Kowloon, Hong Kong).

The competition is open to all French learners from Hong Kong schools and universities, regardless of their level.

Teams

As organizer and participant, l'Alliance Française is building its teams to compete in the following three categories: juniors (9-11 years), teens (12-16 years), and adults (17+ years).

Each category will be made up of several teams of 5 male and female players (+ 2 substitutes).

Competitions will be officiated by professional referees.

Facilities

Throughout the competition, drinks and snacks will be served free of charge to participants, accompanying adults and volunteers.

The competition will take place in a secure school with a modern infrastructure used to hosting sporting events. Volunteers from the French Consulate, the Alliance Française and various sports clubs will be on hand all day to supervise the competition.

A health stand will set up with two Red Cross volunteers, to ensure the safety of participants throughout the competition. Rooms will also be set aside inside the school for refreshments and relaxation. Toilets and single-sex changing rooms will also be available next to the pitch.

Prizes and awards

The Consulate General of France in Hong Kong and Macau, the PSG Academy, AGS, TV5 Monde and Décathlon will be offering gifts to all competition participants (goodies, pens, pins, jersey key-rings, soccer balls).

Competition winners will receive a gold medal and a trophy. Other prizes will also be awarded, such as best player, best goalkeeper, etc. Each participating school will also receive a commemorative plaque.

Enrollment for each category before 21 February :

Junior Junior Teens Teens Adults Adults

Please note:

For the "Teens" category, schools are invited - for reasons of fair play - to form balanced teams (avoiding teams made up solely of 12-year-olds or solely of 16-year-olds).

Students are asked to wear their school sports uniform during the competition. If the school does not have its own uniform, chasubles will be provided for the matches.

The organizers reserve the right to refuse any application that does not meet the stated criteria; in the event of too many schools applying, priority will be given to those who apply first.
