Come and discover how to make a real Tarte Tatin. From the apple-browning to the famous turn-over on a plate, you will know everything about this sweet pie you can find in basically all French restaurants. A classic!
Though many stories and legends surround the concept of a upside down tart, most agree that the dish originated in France, created by the Tatin sisters before becoming the signature dish of the Hôtel Tatin. The pastry is one that apples, or other fruits, are caramelized with sugar and butter before the tart is actually baked. With our French teacher Claudia, at the same time a passionate home cook, you will get to know all that is about the dish.
Though it's mainly a demo cooking class, you will have a chance to participate in stages of the preparation. You will also get a bilingual recipe in English & French so that you may try it at home.
