A message from the Director

Bonjour à tous,

First of all, thank you for being with us in this tough situation. It has been a very challenging and difficult time for many sectors in Hong Kong, including education. I hope that you are all fine.

The coronavirus outbreak in the previous weeks has greatly affected the operations of our centres, resulting in class suspension and centre closure. To cope with the outbreak, we have taken immediate necessary sanitary measures to ensure good hygiene in the centre and good health of the team.

We have worked very hard together with teachers and teams to offer online solutions to you so you can continue your French class at home. Most of you have already attended online sessions on Zoom with your classmates in the past weeks. We are improving the experiences by increasing the number of hours and interactions. Many of you also registered and got access to our social network HK in French and HKids in French, learn French anytime and anywhere. Online learning may be more challenging as it demands more  autonomy and self-discipline, as well as the requirement on equipment and a quiet environment.

Since last week, we have launched online programs for our Teens and Kids 2 classes, and that of Preschoolers and Kids 1 classes will commence this week. We have therefore produced additional and dedicated online material for the students. 

As a nonprofitable international organization, Alliance Francaise has rooted in Hong Kong for more than 65 years providing quality and internationally recognized French courses. We understand that most of you come here for our face-to-face classes. We assure that we will try to provide you with extra conditions, and a special and substantial financial effort will be made for re-enrolment of the next term. Communication with more details will be sent directly to each of you in mid-March.
