The 2024 French May Arts Festival is packed with cultural events that celebrate the illuminating power of exchange and savour the
joys of French heritage.
Initiated & co-founded by the Consulate General of France and the Alliance Française de Hong Kong in 1993, with the support of the
Leisure and Cultural Services Department, French May has grown over the last 30 years to become one of the largest French arts
festivals in Asia.
French May Arts Festival stages every year over 120 of the highest international calibre, covering a broad array of artistic
disciplines that include the visual arts, opera, classical and contemporary music, dance, new circus, theatre and cinema as well as the
culinary arts. The festival is a unique opportunity to discover the best of the French artistic scene in Hong Kong!
This initiative is on a 1-1, 30 minutes long appointment basis where a volunteer recounts a passage of a book they have memorized, with reservations scheduled through the calendar of l’Alliance Française. Come discover their many stories, in French, English, Cantonese and German.
