The quartet skilfully plays new music ideas and some of the historic repertoires of the Sardinian saxophonist Enzo Favata. Poetry, energy, melody and high level jazz are the qualities that portray Glocal Report members.

ENZO FAVATA In his long career he played with his projects in many prestigious festivals and stages around the world. He played and recorded with great musicians such as Dino Saluzzi, Enrico Rava, Miroslav Vitous, Mulatu Astatke, Sajnkho Namtchylak, Lester Bowie, the Art Ensemble of Chicago, the Metropole Orkest, Dave Liebman, Guinga, the pianist Omar Sosa, Jan Bang, Eivind Aarset, Django Bates and other great musicians such as Paolo Vinaccia, Daniele Di Bonaventura, Danilo Gallo, Tenores di Bitti and Tenores di Orosei, Dudu Manhenga, Hope Masike, Ivan Mazuze, Colin Steele, Dave Milligan and many others. He is also author of "sound landscapes" performances for museums and exhibitions, movie’s soundtracks. On 2017 JazzIT Awards he was nominated among the best 3 Italian jazz soprano players. Favata is also the artistic director of the International Jazz Festival MUSICA SULLE BOCCHE, which has been held for 17 years in Santa Teresa Gallura (Sardinia) and is one of the most famous events of the Italian jazz scene, characterized both for its ever-innovative program as well as its sensitivity to the topics such as the environment and the landscape.

ALFONSO SANTIMONE Born in Ferrara, during the 90's was a stable member of Giulio Capiozzo Quintet. He also played and collaborated in Italy and Europe with musicians like Harold Land, Robert Wyatt, Gorge Cables, Jimmy Owens, Tony Scott, Bruce Forman, John Clark, Ares Tavolazzi and Claudio Fasoli. As a composer and arranger writes music for theatre, video and multimedia. Since several years he works on experimental music projects, both electronic and improvised and also in took part in many recordings as composer and performer.

DANILO GALLO Great producer of rhythmical lows and noises. To do that, he uses double bass, electric bass, acoustic bass guitar,bass balalaikas, twelve-strings bass. Co-founder of the collective “El Gallo Rojo Records”, he realized several musical project among which “Guano Padano”. Danilo is the winner of the ItalianTOP JAZZ Referendum by the magazine Musica Jazz, as best bassist of the 2010.

UT GANDHI Drummer, percussionist and composer, he has approached jazz in 1978. For eight years he has been a member of Enrico Rava’s quintet “Electric Five”, touring in Italy and Europe, as well as Canada and Japan. He has recorded several music projects for the German label ECM. Moreover, he collaborated on the composition of theater videos and soundtracks. He has also his own records, some of which dedicated to the Weather Report.
